CT scans · View examinations

CT uses X-rays and computer processing to create cross-sectional images of organs, bones and blood vessels. Doctors may request it to investigate symptoms, assess injuries, plan treatment or monitor a condition. Some examinations use contrast to show structures more clearly. Calcium scoring measures calcified coronary plaque; CT coronary angiography examines the coronary arteries in more detail. Neither is a substitute for urgent assessment of chest pain.

Ultrasound & Doppler · View examinations

Ultrasound uses sound waves, without ionising radiation, to examine organs and soft tissues. Depending on the scan, it can help assess abdominal symptoms, lumps, pregnancy or selected concerns in children. Doppler examines blood flow through arteries and veins. The scan selected depends on the clinical question.

  • Ultrasound upper abdomen
  • Ultrasound pelvis
  • Ultrasound kidneys, ureters and bladder (KUB)
  • Fatty liver analysis with hepatobiliary system assessment

X-ray examinations · View examinations

X-rays create images of internal structures and are commonly used to assess bones, joint alignment and chest symptoms. Your doctor may request them to investigate a suspected fracture or follow healing. Different views show the area from different angles. X-rays use ionising radiation, so tell the team if you are pregnant or may be pregnant.

Looking for a screening package? See the Executive and Signature health screening packages and ask our team about the included tests. Screening should be matched to your health history and risk factors.

Before your visit

Bring your referral, identification and relevant previous reports. Ask our team whether your examination requires fasting, a full bladder or other preparation. Tell us about pregnancy or possible pregnancy, previous contrast reactions, kidney problems and current medicines. Follow your individual instructions rather than changing medicines yourself.

Booking and results

Contact the centre to confirm the examination, appointment time and fee. After your scan, ask when and how your report will be available. Review the findings with your referring doctor, who can explain them alongside your symptoms and medical history.

For severe or rapidly worsening symptoms, seek urgent medical care rather than waiting for an online appointment.

Cardiac & Vascular Imaging

(Heart & blood vessels) Explore calcium scoring, CT coronary angiography and other scans that help your doctor assess your heart and blood vessels.

Neuro Imaging

(Brain & spine) CT scans help your doctor investigate problems affecting the brain and spine. The examination is chosen to suit your symptoms and clinical needs.

Oncology & Body CT Imaging

(Cancer assessment & body organs) CT scans help doctors assess internal organs, investigate suspected cancer and monitor known disease. Your doctor selects the areas that need scanning.

Musculoskeletal Imaging

(Bones, joints & soft tissues) X-ray, CT and selected ultrasound examinations help assess fractures and investigate pain or swelling.

Women’s & Paediatric Imaging

(Women & children) Explore breast and pelvic ultrasound and imaging for children. Our team can explain the examination and preparation needed for your visit.

Ultrasound Scans

(Organs, soft tissues & blood flow) Ultrasound uses sound waves to make pictures inside the body. Doppler ultrasound checks blood flow through vessels.
